I am a single mother of 3 and have only been at my job for 2 months. Last Friday I was admitted into the hospital for 5 days and put out of work for anywhere to 2-4 weeks depending on my following up. I had ERCP surgery performed on Sunday and another major surgery on monday to remove my gall bladder. I have a 13 year old daughter, 10 yr old son, and a 3 yr old son with no family around to help out. I've been doing it on my on pretty much all my life. I just moved into this apartment but Sept rent is already past due and they will be serving eviction next week since its already late. I have no income to speak of while Im out of work since I havent been there long enough to qualify for disiability or insurance. I'm sure the hospital bill itself will be outragious. Right now I have no car, no money, no food for my kids much less me, and no way to avoid becoming homeless. It's only a matter of time before power is cut off and everything else with it. I'm at my wits end and I dont sleep from worry about my children and what they will have to go through and living on the street scares me to death. I just dont see nay other option. Once that happens, I will lose my job as well with no transportation or home to be presentable. I work in an office environment so living on the street is no way to go into the office. Any advice?
